All about Jasmine

Jasmine Rush is a dynamic leader dedicated to empowering individuals and families through her multifaceted roles as an author, relationship coach, photographer, and entrepreneur. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Jasmine began her journey of service in the U.S. Navy at 19, serving aboard the USS Iwo Jima (LHD-7) as an Aviation Boatswain’s Mate in Crash and Salvage. It was during her military career that she met her husband, Glenn, with whom she has shared over 20 years of marriage and two wonderful children.

After her military service, Jasmine earned a Master’s degree in Human Services with a concentration in Marriage and Family from Liberty University. This academic foundation, combined with her personal experiences, inspired her to become a relationship coach, equipping individuals and couples with the tools to build healthier, more fulfilling connections.

In 2022, Jasmine authored Help Me Tell: Finding Your Voice After Trauma, a heartfelt children’s book that tells the story of Lilly, a young girl navigating the challenges of trauma and rediscovering her voice. This work reflects Jasmine’s unwavering commitment to supporting adolescent mental health and empowering youth to find strength in their stories.

Jasmine is also the founder and CEO of Speaking from the Lens LLC, a thriving photography and videography company based in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area. Her creative vision helps individuals and families see themselves as God made them, offering services that range from drone photography to 360-degree video experiences. As a veteran entrepreneur, Jasmine blends artistry with a heart for service, donating a portion of her company’s proceeds to organizations supporting individuals with differing abilities.

In addition to her business ventures, Jasmine is actively involved in her church and serves as a passionate advocate for Veterans. Her work with military families, especially those affected by PTSD and trauma, highlights her dedication to creating resources and spaces for healing.

Jasmine’s life mission is to inspire and uplift others, encouraging them to embrace their God-given purpose. Through her roles as a coach, author, and creative, she continues to shape communities by fostering healing, growth, and transformation.
