✨ Happy New Year! Reflecting on Adventure, Milestones & New Beginnings! 🎉
Happy New Year, friends! 🎆 As we welcome 2025, I’m reflecting on the highlights of the past year and the beautiful memories that shaped it. I hope your holiday season was filled with joy, meaningful moments, and laughter. Here’s to stepping into this new year with hope, purpose, and excitement!
Living in the Crossfire: Navigating PTSD as a Family
The past few weeks have had its ups and downs. They’ve been the kind of days that remind me just how layered and unpredictable life can feel when you’re living in a family deeply affected by PTSD. For us, it’s not just a diagnosis—it’s a constant undercurrent shaping how we communicate, love, and, sometimes, how we fight to hold everything together.
Celebrating Together in the Trenches: A Moment of Gratitude and Triumph
When I first sat down to write Together in the Trenches, I had no idea how it would resonate with others. I simply wanted to tell the truth—our truth—as a family navigating the complex and often messy realities of life with a loved one in the military. This book was born from a desire to create something honest, something raw, and something that could help families like ours feel seen, understood, and, most importantly, not alone.
Introducing My New Devotional: Together in the Trenches
When life hands us unexpected challenges, finding hope and healing can feel like an uphill battle. For families navigating the complexities of PTSD, the journey can be particularly heavy. That’s why I am so excited to share the release of my new devotional, Together in the Trenches: A 30-Day Devotional for Families Courageously Navigating PTSD.
Courage Revisited: A Reflection on My Word of the Year
When I chose “courage” as my word of the year again, it wasn’t because I hadn’t lived it fully—I chose it because it still had more to teach me about trusting God and stepping forward in faith.
Courage has shown up in unexpected ways this past year. It was present in the quiet moments of grief when I surrendered my pain to Jesus after losing my mother-in-love and uncle; mourning my father, and my grandmother. It was His strength that carried me through when my own felt depleted. Courage was there when I was sharing my heart while trusting Him to use my story for His glory.
